Refresh / Existing websites
Keep what matters.
Improve what gets in the way.
Renew your website’s structure, presentation and mobile experience through a planned redesign. Start with the existing site, its useful content and the journeys that need attention.
A redesign starts with understanding what exists.
We identify useful pages, navigation patterns, technical constraints and content that already answers customer questions. Where access is available, search and enquiry data help prioritise the work. The objective is a clearer commercial journey with a controlled transition.
A defined project, not an open-ended promise
A redesign can improve clarity and usability; it does not guarantee higher rankings or a particular conversion increase. Existing custom integrations are assessed before reuse. Domain and DNS changes are never assumed to be part of the brief.
Scope of work
What we can work on together.
The final proposal states the selected activities, delivery boundaries and responsibilities.
01
Focused site review
A bounded review of structure, content, usability and the technical foundation. Findings lead to an agreed scope rather than an endless audit.
02
Visual modernisation
A coherent type system, spacing, navigation and page components that reflect the business and make the offer easier to understand.
03
Mobile improvements
Reconsider page order, button placement, forms and content density for smaller screens and practical touch use.
04
Content revision
Replace generic claims with clear service explanations, useful proof and specific next steps. Preserve material that remains accurate.
05
URL and search continuity
Inventory the URLs being changed and plan page-specific redirects. Search traffic cannot be guaranteed, but avoidable migration errors can be addressed.
06
Independent working copy
Prepare and review the new version separately. Release scope, backup and restoration arrangements are agreed before existing environments change.
The process
A practical sequence.
Review useful decisions at each stage and keep the work connected to the business need.
Map
Identify valuable pages, access constraints and the current user journey.
Prioritise
Agree which problems to solve and which assets to preserve.
Rebuild
Implement the revised structure and design in a separate copy.
Transition
Prepare redirect, backup and release instructions for approval.
What we need to get started.
- The current website and known issues
- Available analytics or Search Console access, if authorised
- Pages and functions that must be preserved
- Approved new content and a clear owner for review
Add a clearer booking path.
A redesign can be the right time to assess Reservum. The integration is proposed only after reviewing the existing WordPress and WooCommerce setup.
Before we start
Questions worth asking.
Find practical answers on scope, timing, responsibilities and what can be measured.
How much can my WordPress website be customised?
The website project can define your page structure, visual identity, content layouts and conversion paths around your business. We agree the essential pages and reusable components first, then distinguish content editing from changes requiring development. Examples include an activity page, a service comparison and a contact form with relevant enquiry types. The proposal specifies revision rounds, supplied materials and integrations. This makes the result manageable after handover and prevents a visually ambitious design from depending on unnecessary plugins or constant developer intervention.
Can you redesign my existing website instead of replacing everything?
Yes. A redesign can retain useful content, a suitable WordPress foundation and established page addresses while improving structure, readability and the route to an enquiry. The starting review identifies what works and what creates avoidable friction. We prepare changes separately and map any addresses that need to change. Existing search visibility, forms and integrations deserve attention before release. Reuse is a practical decision: keeping a component is valuable when it remains secure, maintainable and appropriate for the new design.
Can a new website include an online booking system?
Yes. Website design and a Reservum suitability review can form one project so activity information and the booking journey are planned together. The website should answer practical questions before asking visitors to choose a date or make contact. The booking part still needs its own requirements, including availability rules, participant information and payments. The proposal separates the website deliverables from the confirmed product configuration and any extra work. A combined project does not remove the need to establish compatibility or approve release changes.
