Reservum
What is Reservum?
Reservum is Adventure Hub’s booking product for WordPress and WooCommerce. It connects activity information, dates, availability, capacity and participant choices with a direct booking journey and WooCommerce orders. Start with a demonstration of the real product. We then check your operating rules, website compatibility, setup and support requirements before agreeing a proposal. Payment and email configuration are separate parts of that scope; an example screen is not proof that every integration fits your website.
Who is Reservum suitable for?
Reservum is aimed initially at outdoor operators, tours, excursions, experiences and other businesses selling bookable activities or services. Its documented catalogue, slots and capacity controls provide a starting point for scheduled activities with participant limits. Suitability still depends on your operating rules. Bring an example activity, its duration, prices and cancellation process to the discussion. Private groups, shared resources or unusual scheduling may need additional assessment. We compare those requirements with the available workflow and identify any work beyond the documented product.
How is Reservum installed on a website?
The documented installation uses WordPress’s normal plugin process with WooCommerce installed and activated first. After activation, Reservum’s Quick Start web panel links to the existing settings. Configuration includes activities, prices, slots, capacity, participants and a page containing the booking shortcode. Payment and email accounts are configured separately for each customer. We begin by checking the environment and preparing the agreed work in an isolated copy. Access, backup, acceptance criteria and approval of changes to the existing site belong in the implementation plan.
Do I need WordPress to use Reservum?
Yes. Reservum is built for WordPress and WooCommerce; it is not presented as a standalone booking service for every website platform. Your own environment still needs a compatibility review. If your current site uses another platform, we can assess a WordPress project and its consequences for content, addresses and support. Another CMS integration or a native mobile app is a separate requirement.
How does Reservum work with WooCommerce?
Reservum connects the booking form to WooCommerce orders. Its existing booking flow uses classic checkout. We review your versions, theme and extensions before agreeing the setup. Compatibility with Checkout Blocks or every WooCommerce extension is not assumed. Subscriptions, deposits, accounting tools and external platforms are separate requirements. Availability release and payment refunds must also be treated as separate operational steps.
Does Reservum charge a commission on every booking?
Reservum’s commercial model does not add a Reservum commission to each booking. This gives you a clear distinction between the booking software arrangement and the costs of taking payments or running a website. The quotation defines implementation, any licence terms and optional assistance separately. It does not mean that operating the service has no recurring costs. When comparing alternatives, consider your expected booking volume alongside setup, support and third-party charges so that you can evaluate the complete arrangement.
Which costs remain when there is no Reservum booking commission?
Payment providers can charge transaction fees under their own terms. Hosting, domain renewal, email delivery, optional external services and an agreed maintenance contract may also carry separate costs. A project can include one-time implementation work or custom development in addition to recurring services. Ask for these items to be separated in the proposal, including who holds each account and pays its invoices. No gateway rate, paid extension or external subscription should be assumed to be included without an explicit agreement.
Can Reservum manage dates and departure times?
Yes. The product documentation includes a calendar with availability by slot, configured alongside activities and prices. That supports a conversation about your bookable departures rather than a generic contact-only process. The exact scheduling rules still need to match your operation: describe fixed departures, seasons, booking deadlines, time zones and exceptional closures. The documents do not establish every recurrence pattern or shared-resource rule. Your demonstration should show a representative schedule, and the proposal should identify the supported configuration and any additional development.
How are participants and group capacity handled?
Capacity and participants are documented parts of the Reservum configuration. The qualification report also records places becoming available again after a booking cancellation. To configure the right workflow, distinguish the person ordering from the people participating and explain the limits for each activity. Requirements such as age categories, detailed participant records or capacity shared between different activities need specific confirmation. A useful acceptance example covers a normal group, the last available places and a request exceeding the allowed size, with the expected response agreed beforehand.
How can I check whether Reservum supports my availability rules?
Reservum’s documentation includes slot-based availability and capacity. The existing qualification report records a coherent availability update for a confirmed booking and release of places after cancellation. To assess your rules, provide an activity, date, maximum places and any shared guide, vehicle or equipment. Also explain booking deadlines and unfinished checkouts. The recorded qualification is a defined end-to-end scenario; it does not establish every concurrent booking condition, resource-sharing model or external calendar synchronisation. Include those needs explicitly in the demonstration checklist.
How are booking confirmations sent?
Reservum documents confirmation and cancellation notifications. Each customer’s sender identity and email account still require configuration. We agree which event triggers each message and what the customer needs to know. A booking request, a payment and a confirmed place should be described accurately. Automated reminders, marketing campaigns and additional communication channels are separate requirements.
Which online payments are supported?
Payment setup depends on the gateway, the merchant account and the website configuration agreed for your project. A successful test payment is not evidence that live payments are enabled. We confirm the payment requirements and verify the agreed live configuration before relying on it. Gateway fees and other provider charges remain separate from Reservum’s absence of a software commission per booking.
Can I see a Reservum demonstration?
Yes, you can request a guided demonstration through the demo enquiry form. Include your website, activity type and the booking question you most want answered so the conversation can focus on a useful example. The existing demonstration environment is protected; access is arranged rather than exposing credentials or customer information on a public page. A demo shows the available workflow and its boundaries. It does not automatically include a trial installation, a live payment or permission to alter the demonstration system.
Can activities and the booking experience be personalised?
Reservum’s documented configuration includes activities or services, prices, slots, capacity and participants, with the booking form placed through a shortcode. The surrounding WordPress website can present those activities in your brand’s visual style. Beyond those controls, distinguish configuration from changes to product behaviour. Bring your descriptions, required fields, business rules and visual requirements so they can be mapped to the available workflow. Special participant data, unusual pricing logic or an external integration needs an explicit scope rather than an assumption of unlimited personalisation.
Can I manage bookings from a smartphone?
Reservum includes a web administration entry point to its settings. This is different from a native mobile app. Before relying on smartphone administration, review the screens and actions your team needs on its chosen device, such as locating an order and checking booking information. The browser workflow and limitations should be agreed for your project; mobile access does not imply that every task has been verified on every device.
Is a Reservum mobile app available?
A released native mobile app is not established by the available product documentation. Reservum’s documented administration entry point is a web Quick Start panel; that should not be described as an app download. We do not promise a mobile app or a launch date. If an app is essential, specify the tasks it must support, the operating systems and whether offline work is required. Those requirements can be assessed separately. For now, evaluate the available web workflow against the way your team actually manages bookings.
What happens when a booking is cancelled?
The product documentation includes cancellation notifications and release of reserved places. Releasing a reserved place and refunding a payment are separate operations. For your project, cancellation policy, customer communications and refund responsibilities must therefore be agreed separately. Define who can cancel, the applicable deadlines and what the customer sees. Releasing availability and returning money are distinct operational steps and should never be treated as the same action.
Websites
How much can my WordPress website be customised?
The website project can define your page structure, visual identity, content layouts and conversion paths around your business. We agree the essential pages and reusable components first, then distinguish content editing from changes requiring development. Examples include an activity page, a service comparison and a contact form with relevant enquiry types. The proposal specifies revision rounds, supplied materials and integrations. This makes the result manageable after handover and prevents a visually ambitious design from depending on unnecessary plugins or constant developer intervention.
Can you redesign my existing website instead of replacing everything?
Yes. A redesign can retain useful content, a suitable WordPress foundation and established page addresses while improving structure, readability and the route to an enquiry. The starting review identifies what works and what creates avoidable friction. We prepare changes separately and map any addresses that need to change. Existing search visibility, forms and integrations deserve attention before release. Reuse is a practical decision: keeping a component is valuable when it remains secure, maintainable and appropriate for the new design.
Can a new website include an online booking system?
Yes. Website design and a Reservum suitability review can form one project so activity information and the booking journey are planned together. The website should answer practical questions before asking visitors to choose a date or make contact. The booking part still needs its own requirements, including availability rules, participant information and payments. The proposal separates the website deliverables from the confirmed product configuration and any extra work. A combined project does not remove the need to establish compatibility or approve release changes.
What happens to my current domain during a redesign?
A redesign does not automatically require a new domain. The existing public website can remain available while a separate version is prepared for review. Before an approved transfer, the plan should cover hosting, important page addresses, email services and a recovery route. Domain ownership and access remain matters to document with the owner; passwords should never be placed in an enquiry form. DNS or hosting changes are scheduled separately because a website update should not unexpectedly interrupt company email or other services using the domain.
What can a website maintenance plan include?
A maintenance agreement can include planned updates, backups, checks, monitoring and an agreed allowance for technical support. WooCommerce websites also need attention to the purchasing journey and the interactions between extensions. The contract identifies frequency, responsibilities, backup retention, recovery arrangements and the difference between a response time and a resolution time. Content changes, redesigns and new integrations may fall outside routine maintenance. Choose the scope around the importance of the website to daily operations rather than assuming every task is covered by a monthly label.
Will I be able to edit pages and publish articles myself?
The proposed website uses normal WordPress content management for pages and articles, with reusable layouts to keep everyday editing consistent. Handover should show how to change text, replace an image, manage article categories and preview a draft before publication. Access roles and responsibilities are agreed so colleagues receive the permissions they need. Some structural or functional changes still require technical work. The goal is to make routine publishing practical while preserving the visual system and avoiding accidental changes to booking or payment configuration.
SEO
What is SEO, and what would you work on?
SEO means search engine optimisation: helping relevant visitors discover and understand your website through search. A project can address accessible pages, useful service information, descriptive titles and internal links. Our proposed work starts with the questions customers ask before making an enquiry. For an outdoor activity, that might include location, season, suitability and what is included. The deliverables identify the pages and changes involved. Google’s SEO starter guide explains the foundations; following them does not buy a particular ranking.
How long does SEO take to show results?
Technical changes and search performance follow different timelines. An agreed page improvement can be completed and checked, while search engines need time to discover and reassess it. Google explains that changes can take hours to months to be reflected. We therefore establish a baseline, record what changed and agree review dates rather than promise a ranking by a fixed deadline. For a seasonal business, comparisons also need to account for the booking calendar. Early reports should show completed work and observable signals, with their limitations.
Why does my website not appear in Google?
Several different situations can look like the same problem: Google may not have discovered a page, may be unable to access it, may not have indexed it, or may show it for different searches. The first step is to distinguish these cases using the site’s actual configuration and Search Console when available. A private development site should remain excluded. Google’s explanation of Search separates discovery, indexing and serving results. Publishing or submitting a sitemap does not guarantee inclusion or visibility for a chosen query.
What is the difference between SEO and paid advertising?
SEO concerns visibility in organic search results. Paid advertising places ads through a separate campaign and media budget. Buying ads does not purchase a higher organic ranking, as Google’s Search documentation makes clear. A business may use both approaches for different goals, but their costs and measurements should be separated. For example, a campaign promoting a specific departure and a service page answering evergreen customer questions serve different purposes. Our proposal should state whether it covers website optimisation, campaign work or both before any external spend is considered.
How will we measure the value of SEO work?
We propose measuring both discovery and commercial outcomes. Search impressions and clicks help explain visibility; qualified enquiries, demo requests and accepted proposals show whether the visitors matter to the business. The measurement plan defines each event and avoids counting a button click as a completed enquiry. Reports can compare relevant pages and non-brand queries against a documented baseline. Seasonal changes, small sample sizes and missing attribution are recorded alongside the numbers. The aim is to connect completed work with evidence rather than report rankings without context.
What should an outdoor business prioritise in its search content?
Start with information that helps a visitor decide whether an activity is appropriate: where it takes place, duration, season, requirements, included equipment and how to enquire or book. Use the terms customers actually use, while keeping each page focused on a real offering. Useful planning content can answer transport, preparation and suitability questions without duplicating every activity page. Our content proposal should identify the responsible author and the facts needing operator approval. Invented destinations, qualifications or availability are never a substitute for detailed, accurate information.
GEO / AEO
What does GEO mean?
GEO is commonly used for generative engine optimisation: work intended to make information easier to find, interpret and reference in AI-assisted search. In our proposed service, that means reviewing the clarity of your public pages, supporting factual statements and making the company and its services understandable. It is an evolving label rather than a guaranteed placement mechanism. Google’s AI Search guidance says established SEO practices remain relevant to its AI features. We begin with a defined pilot and measurable editorial deliverables.
What does AEO mean?
AEO stands for answer engine optimisation. We use the term for organising useful information around the questions people ask and giving clear, self-contained answers with enough context to be accurate. A service page might explain requirements, boundaries and the next step, then link to a fuller guide. This helps human readers evaluate the offer and gives retrieval systems understandable source material. It does not require turning every paragraph into a short FAQ or stripping out the qualifications that make an answer trustworthy.
How do GEO and AEO differ from traditional SEO?
The practical work overlaps: accessible pages, relevant information and clear structure are useful across these approaches. SEO usually focuses on discovery and visits from search results; a GEO or AEO pilot also asks how a system represents the business when composing an answer. That adds questions about accurate descriptions, supporting sources and how observations are recorded. We propose one coordinated content plan instead of three disconnected services rewriting the same page. The commercial offer should distinguish the tasks delivered from visibility outcomes outside the provider’s control.
Can you guarantee that an AI assistant will mention my company?
No. An assistant’s answer can depend on the question, available sources, system, location and time. For Google’s AI search features, meeting the published requirements does not guarantee that content will be selected. A credible engagement therefore specifies work we can deliver: clearer service information, documented facts, sensible internal links and a recorded observation method. It should never sell a guaranteed ChatGPT mention or imply a private arrangement with an AI platform. Any observed mention is reported with its context rather than presented as permanent coverage.
How can we measure a GEO or AEO pilot?
We propose a fixed set of relevant questions and a dated record of the systems used, answer accuracy, sources cited and whether your business appears. Repeating that sample can reveal changes, but it is not a complete census of AI answers. Where identifiable, referral visits and resulting enquiries provide another signal. The report also records the pages improved and factual corrections made. Agree the sample and review cadence at the start so that a few favourable screenshots cannot replace a consistent, transparent measurement method.
Do structured data or special AI files guarantee visibility?
No. Structured data should describe genuine information already visible on the page, using types appropriate to the content. It should not introduce invented reviews, credentials or offers. Google states that no special schema or new AI text file is required for its AI search features. Our proposed work therefore prioritises accurate content and a maintainable site before optional technical additions. Each addition needs a clear purpose and a verification method; installing an extension labelled for AI is not evidence that discoverability has improved.
Support & sales
How do I request a quotation?
Use the short enquiry form on the relevant service page or email info@advhub.co. Provide your email, an optional website address and a short description of what you want to improve. The service and language come from the page. Do not send passwords, payment details or customer records. We clarify requirements and deliverables before proposing work. A successful website message means acceptance by the email service, not verified delivery to the inbox.
What happens after a Reservum demo?
The useful outcome is a shared record of what matches your operation and what still needs clarification. We can then separate the available booking configuration, website work, integrations and optional support in a proposal. If a requirement was not demonstrated, it should remain an open point rather than becoming an assumed commitment. You can review the scope before deciding whether to proceed. A demonstration request does not authorise changes to your site, a purchase, a subscription or activation of real payments.
How do ongoing support agreements work?
A support agreement defines the website covered, included activities, contact route and service hours. It also explains how work is prioritised, what response targets mean and how additional requests are approved. Monthly and annual arrangements can be discussed according to the agreed scope; no public price is assumed here. Access, backup ownership and recovery responsibilities should be documented before support begins. Planned updates, urgent incident work and new feature development are different commitments, so the contract should make their treatment easy to understand.
Can I combine a website, Reservum, SEO and assistance?
Yes. A combined proposal can connect website design, the confirmed Reservum configuration, search content work and ongoing maintenance. Combining them helps align the pages people discover with the journey they follow to enquire or book. Each part still has its own deliverables, dependencies and acceptance criteria. For example, a website can be reviewed for release while search visibility develops over time. You can also phase the work, starting with the essential commercial journey and adding a measured SEO or GEO pilot later.
How does a new project begin?
We start with the business objective, the current website and the people responsible for content and approval. The initial scope identifies audiences, priority pages, booking needs and any systems that must be preserved. Materials such as approved brand assets and activity information help make the work concrete. An isolated version is prepared for review, with agreed checkpoints and a change record. Work affecting an existing environment follows the owner’s approval process. Publishing, domain changes and paid services remain separate decisions rather than automatic consequences of starting design work.
How is my existing website and business information protected during development?
Development should use an isolated environment with separate configuration and controlled access. Only the information needed for the work belongs there; customer records and operating secrets should not be copied into a design preview. Email and form demonstrations should use a controlled test path rather than contact real customers. Before any authorised change to an existing site, the plan should identify the affected files or settings, backup and recovery route. Private previews remain excluded from indexing until a separate publishing decision is approved.
